The Feeble
In a short poem, I tried to depict a moment of change in people. ‘The Feeble’ paints the protagonist’s hometown and his state of mind before the change, portrayed in the sentence ‘He definitely changed since his visit to his hometown’. The painting showed both physical and intangible versions of the hometown. The protagonist’s emotions and the colors of the space covered the paintings, signifying a complete rest.
The spirit of the feeble intellectual started to become desolated in the madness of the war.
He committed all kinds of evil acts in the name of his ideology, and he did not stop to hesitate to take the lives of others. Out of nowhere, fury would swallow him, and humans were just objects to be resented and overthrown.
That’s when he learned when to put on a soft smile.
He learned to savor the ecstasy of anger.
Ⅰ. Frenzied Disorientation
He definitely changed since his visit to his hometown.
Who used to be frail and withdrawn, became focused and robust. He was now an authoritative young man whose character overwhelmed others.
What does the sudden gain in focus and authority after discovering the tragic destiny that he was born into say about him? Did he discover the evil and violence and greed that is reminiscent of Cain, the murderer from the Bible? Did he happily accept to be a descendant of Cain?
His suicide was disguised as if it was a rational choice.

The Crimson Map
I have always been curious about what comes after the end. ‘The Crimson Map’ is both a solace to death, loss and the last steps at the end, as well as work of sending the protagonists of ‘He Definitely Changed His Visit to His Hometown’ away. All of our lives are one of the coincidental processes of the universe leading us toward death, but the war within that journey reflects on the inevitable transition of life. The escape towards the sky beyond the square screen has become a tribute, stitching souls together.
